Cradle of Vinum Nobis
Cradle of Vinum Nobis
The homeland of Vinum Nobis is the vineyard and culinary paradise of Piedmont in Northwestern Italy. The Piemonte is to the north and west surrounded by the Alps and separated from Liguria in the south by the Ligurian Apennines. The climate is continental, with cold winters, warm summers and sufficient rainfall.
The most important red grapes are Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. The Langhe region is home to the muscular yet elegant red wines; the Barolo and Barbaresco.
The Tanaro river divides the Langhe of Roero. The Roero is a drier area with sandy soils. This is the birthplace of the white Arneis. Roero is a wilder version of the Langhe, rich in forests and unexplored land. While driving through this area it is almost impossible not to be impressed by this beautiful landscape. The steep vineyards, crowned by medieval villages, against the majestic snow-capped Alps, are breathtaking. Since time immemorial, the wooded Piemonte is the cradle of hazelnuts and truffles. The white truffle is praised for its perfume and delicate flavors. The slow-food movement finds its origins here. The food is pure, honest and of excellent quality. The matching wines are absolutely good, the very best even enjoying world fame.
In this wine and culinary paradise, we selected two renowned wineries that make Vinum Nobis wines. The location of our vineyards is spectacular: at the foot of the foothills of the Alps, around the town of Alba. Slinger roads open into beautiful unspoilt locations where the selected wineries are located.
The Piedmont is an oasis of peace and authenticity. However, the region offers all the comforts and facilities of modern life. Wherever we go, the typically rural Italian atmosphere always surrounds us. A feeling that is also recognizable for the Vinum Nobis vineyards at the wineries Malvirà with their vineyards in the Roero and Luigi Enaudi which we find in the Langhe. The unique location of these wineries offers us the opportunity to get to know the region well with these wine companies as a base. Vinum Nobis is here at home, here our soul is being fed.
